Music History
Do you also teach piccolo?
Absolutely! Any student who can play in the 3rd octave on the flute is welcome to start working on piccolo. We can incorporate it into their flute lesson time and even extend their lesson time if they get more serious about piccolo.
Do you have recitals for your students?
Yes! At least once per year I have a recital where parents, family members and friends can hear students play a solo with a pianist, an ensemble with other students, or both!
What other performance opportunities do your students have?
Between studio recitals and the performances and contests that schools offer, many students do not have the time or desire to do more. However, I am a member of a number of professional organizations that hold contests for interested students. I am also happy to help students enter local contests and audition for local youth symphonies.
